Practical, opinionated guides for self-hosting in Morocco. Currently in planning.
The guide tracks land progressively. None are written yet; this page exists so contributors can see the shape of the table of contents we're building toward.
Planned tracks
- Email — self-host your own mail (Postfix / Dovecot / Stalwart), authenticate properly (SPF / DKIM / DMARC), defend against your domain being abused.
- Files — Nextcloud, Seafile, Syncthing. What's actually pleasant to run in production.
- Media — Jellyfin, Immich, photo backup pipelines.
- AI — small local models, on-prem inference, document chat over your own corpus.
- Security — hardening checklists, backups, key custody, when to pay for managed and when not to.
- Compliance — Morocco-specific notes on the CNDP framework, data residency, association obligations.
- Hardware — VPS shortlists, refurbished server picks, what to avoid.
